Javascript demos

The one substantial thing that is actually available on this website are my demos of using the canvas tag for animations, games and physics simulations with javascript.

So if that interest you - or if you get a kick out of colorful moving objects - waste no time!

Who are you? (optional)

I realize i haven't been updating for a while. I will, again, I'm sure. For now, enjoy this strange little performance-art i found at Neu Black

The kitties are alright

We've had our kittens for a week now. In that time they've managed to finally figure out where the litter-box is, as well as grow substantially. They are also proving very, very cuddly, friendly, mischievous and generally entertaining (distracting, even). More pics will show up shortly, but here are just a couple to tide you over. Kitties are taking well deserved naps after some intense romping and wrestling.

U2 360° Live in Gothenburg

Just got back from Gotheburg where me and a few friends saw the U2 "360°" concert. U2 delivered an impressive and thorughly entertaining show, as one would expect. Snow Patrol held the opening act, and did so very well. Interesting side-note: we ran into Snow Patrol at the "Bishops Arms" later that evening. Had a brief chat with Paul Wilson (guitarist) - a very affable and easy going guy.

Se a few of my pictures shot from the concert here:

Almost done

After spending a couple of relaxing days in Brookings with Steve, Mary & cousins (and Chloe, the friendly dog) we're back in Sioux Falls. Tomorrow is a day for last minute errands, shopping and socializing before we head back home tomorrow.

Lindsborg video

Since I'm not really sleepy, I decided to play around with editing video from the new Camcorder. Easy as pie.

Made this little compilation of clips from our visit in Lindsborg:

A day in Lindsborg

Don't have any pictures, since we used the new Canon HF20 camcorder
for documentation. And, as I realize more and more: I'm not that great
at shooting video. Practice makes perfect, I guess.

I took Sara around to see the main parts of Lindsborg ? which is to
say, those parts of Lindsborg that concern me :) We saw the hospital
where I was born, and the shack where I spent my first couple of
years. We saw the shop and the "Swedish timber cottage" where I worked
several summers. We had "snow cones". We even went to Salina, browsed
the mall and had burgers at "Sonic" ? things I would do for fun when
working here.

Charlotte took us out to see the dugout ruins of the first settlement
here. Following that, we had dinner at Pizza Hut with Dean, Charlotte,
Emma, Gladys & Mark Anderson.

In the evening we saw "Broadway R.F.D" (the local open-air amateur
theatre) put on the musical "Annie get your gun". Good show, despite
the orchestra being a bit thinner than I remember. It was nice to go,
since it was their 50th anniversary of musical productions in the
Swenson Park bandshell.

Our further travels

After coming back to Sioux Falls from our tour of western South Dakota, we wasted no time. The morning after, we drove out to visit with Beth & Patrick in Minneapolis. We stayed there for a night, doing some shopping at the Mall of America (Sara needed her "Philosophy" products), and visithing the Minnesota Historical Center. Then: back to Sioux Falls.

The following day was intended to be restful, but since we got back so late the night before we slept in. Then we had to hurry to get the car back to the shop to fix the AC, pick up supper, and tickets to the evening showing of "Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince". Steve, Mary, Jenna & Molly came down to watch it with us in the evening, and took Marcus to Brookings with them on their way back. Sara and I went back to Mormor's house to pack and prepare.

Not-so-early-as-we-would-have-liked the next day, we headed off to Kansas. This time the AC worked, although ironically Kansas was uncommonly cool. We got to the Andersons at about eight p.m. We visisted for a while, then I took Sara for a walk around nighttime Lindsborg, to show her the magnificence of Kansas nighttime skies, and the fireflies over the wheatfields.
